This policy outlines the procedure for users to delete their accounts on Phoring. It is designed to ensure the secure and verified deletion of user data while protecting the privacy and security of our users.

This policy applies to all registered users of Phoring who wish to delete their accounts.

Procedure for Account Deletion

1. Access Account Deletion Page
• Users do not need to log in to initiate the account deletion process. They must visit Delete Account.
2. Verify CAPTCHA
• Users must enter their registered email address and GSM (mobile) number. This information will be used to verify the identity of the user requesting the deletion.
3. Enter Registered Email and GSM Number
• Users must enter their registered email address and GSM (mobile) number. This information will be used to verify the identity of the user requesting the deletion.
4. Fill the OTP
• An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the user's registered email address and GSM number. The user must enter this OTP in the provided field to confirm their request. This step ensures that the request is authorized and initiated by the account owner.
5. Confirmation and Processing
• Once the OTP is verified, the account deletion request is confirmed. The user's account and all associated data, including account information, subscription details, and identity proof, will be scheduled for deletion within 48 hours.

Important Information

• Data Retention

  • After the deletion process is initiated, the user's account, account information, subscription details, and identity proof will be permanently deleted from our systems within 48 hours.

  • Deleted accounts and associated data cannot be recovered.

• Communication

  • Users will receive an email confirmation upon successful initiation of the deletion request

  • A final email will be sent once the account has been deleted, confirming the completion of the process.

• Security Measures

  • To safeguard user data and prevent unauthorized deletions, multiple verification steps (CAPTCHA, email, GSM number, and OTP) are required.

  • The OTP is time-sensitive and expires after a certain period. Users will need to request a new OTP if the original one expires before use.
